I tend to agree. I originally had the 700 and was completely happy with it and still would be. The tremendous progress and improvements they've made are a much appreciated bonus. I eventually bought the 740, partly because of the battery, partly because (as with any computer more than a few years old) I figured that, with all the new improvements, the 700 was just not going to be able to keep up physically. I guess upgrading is just the price of constant improvement. Come to think about it, the 740 is a couple two three years old and in computer terms, getting a bit aged. Hopefully it's got the HP to be able to handle a few more years of upgrades.
