I believe Adventure Pilot changed to the 740 when the 1300 nit screen became available as it is the best sunlight readable screen there is. AP is the most customer friendly aviation business I have seen since I started flying in 1958--egads that is 60 years ago.

I have been a loyal user of adventure pilot for years and lately with the introduction of synthetic vision feel like a second class subscriber. I have an Ifly 720 which AdventurePilot does not have the upgrade to SV. They are supporting Ipads Androids and 740s and charging 720 users the same amount for the upgrade subscription. Seems like a cheap shot to get 720 users to spend more money on the 740 !

AP didn't choose not to support the 720 just to annoy old users.  The device simply does not have the horsepower to handle the computing workload required for SV.

I have the very first 720 unit sold, back in November of 2011.  I'm also disappointed that it won't support SV, but I'm not surprised:  The device is almost 7 years old; an eternity in the life of computing devices.

It's not reasonable to expect it to be indefinitely upgradable.  It's also not reasonable to expect AP to limit their features to the lowest common denominator.
