About Adventure Pilot: We launched iFly GPS in 2009 as a portable GPS navigation tool. The app has evolved to become “iFly EFB”, a fully functional EFB and navigation app that operates on Android, Apple, and Windows platforms. Members of AOPA and EAA, and partners with Levil Aviation, Dynon, Avydine, and more! Our mission is to provide safe and efficient navigation while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 

For this position, no aviaiton experience or background is required! Team members have the opportunity to learn necessary aviation topics to perform the required duties. However, a passion for aviation is a huge plus!

We are looking for a C# / ASP.NET developer responsible for building and enhancing applications.  Applications include front-end navigation tools, back-end services, batch data processing apps, and website utilities.  Your initial responsibility will be to build ASP.NET based web tools to support the next set of features being planned for iFly EFB apps.  This release includes many data sharing and social media style features, and will include integrating with Google Earth and other 3rd party tools.

Skills:

• Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Proficient in ASP.NET
• Proficient in designing & building responsive web apps
• Familiarity with the .NET framework and the CLR, including limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Familiarity with the Mono / Xamarin framework
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
• Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN
• Familiarity with deploying to iOS and Android platforms

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Familiarity with the DotNetNuke framework
• Passion and/or familiarity with aviation terms, concepts, etc.
• Experience with SQL Server
• Experience building and deploying Apps to iOS and Android

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
• In all your coding, ensure the best combination of performance, quality, responsiveness, and development efficiency 
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Contribute innovating ideas to maintain cutting edge design

Salary is based on experience. This is a full-time remote position.
