The iFly does have a lot of that info in the database, available by touching the airspace. But sometimes the FAA has data on those border that is not in their published database (don't ask me why!). For this reason, when we release our seamless charts we will also include an option for the user to view the border information. And it will be much easier to access - currently you must pan over and zoom to the border, the new method will give you quick way of popping that image right up.

Maybe I'm missing something, wouldn't be the first time, but I don't see an issue with the charts as they are. As long as you can click on the new chart area and it pops up immediately. Also, on the Android version, you can click on an icon in lower left corner and cycle through the pertinent charts. I like it the way it is.

Me, I'm looking forward to seamless charts.

As long as there's an option to select between seamless charts and the way it currently works, everybody will be happy. :-)

I think our new seamless charts will be the best of both worlds. Seamless charts can suffer from 2 drawbacks:

1) You can loose border information - we're not gonna have that problem...in fact it will be easier to access than it currently is.

2) Sometimes, where different charts overlap, they can have different data. One chart may include some airspace text or airport details that the overlapping chart doesn't include. Most apps out there blend the maps into one image and so a bit of data can be lost. Our solution won't have this problem. We're keeping all the data to the edge of every map.

For these reasons we don't plan on having a "non-seamless" option. But I sure hope that everyone finds the new interface an improvement.

The solution you are working on sounds great to me - looking forward to the update!
