Vector Mode VORs

Today flew with my new 720 unit. Using vector mode, tower asked me to fly direct VOR and report. ATC references to VORs are very common. Since I have no VOR installed, I needed to switch to sectional mode. I would like to see VORs displayed in vector mode. Any chance this can be done? Thanks, Arthur

This is on our wish-list. I've actually already built the VOR, Vortac, etc images that can be dropped on the vector map. Just have to get it approved and work it into the Dev Schedule now. I'm even working on a Compass Rose to be enable or disabled around those VORs, etc.

Additionally, I've proposed a revised NRST list to show thinks like Airports, Navaids, Heliports, etc with frequencies.

I'm hoping you'll see these hit the iFly soon.

I know there is a lot going on with porting to other platforms but in conjunction with VOR's in vector and weather modes the ability to fly a radial remains high on my wish list :-)

Chas,

This feature is planned for development the first half of 2014. It should be one of the next feature software updates. I think we'll get the VORs, Navaids and the ability to set a radial or vector to any waypoint like a VOR, Fix, Airport, etc. We'll keep you posted on the newsletter. Have a great week.
