It is my understanding that you will probably want to connect to a switch, or something like the Avionics Switch or Master Switch to cut the battery connection from the External Battery. We are waiting to get our final sample from them and further to get possible inventory to put on our store.
If you did'nt want to install a switch, it just pops in and out very easily. I am thinking you'd just release it, tilt forward to slide the battery on or off, then tilt back up to secure in place. Worst case is if you leave it running, it will deplete the iFly External battery. Upon next flight it will start charging and powering the unit immediately. If this happened, you might not have full battery backup for an about and hour or so. We'll know more in the coming days.
