All,

Version 7, to be released very soon, will be able to receive weather and traffic data from the Stratus ADSB receiver. It will require you to do some manual tweaking to a settings file on your iFly, but if you are a little computer savy this will be easy. (If you have a Stratus contact us for the details). We will not formally be supporting a Stratus integration with v7, but we should have integration fully qualified in 7.5 later this Summer.

Thanks,
Walter

I know it is way to early to comment on this but do the early results indicate the Stratus to be more reliable, less reliable or about the same as the SkyRadar. To be certain you say it has both weather and traffic?

I cannot say which is better. And *traffic* is relative. The demo data they pump from their unit has traffic, so I presume their actual feed will as well - but since it's not a transceiver IMO that traffic data is less than useless.

Walter, and all: One of the best explanation I have read about the way TIS-B traffic works (and does not work) is on the Sagetech web site under their FAQs. You have to look under three separate *traffic* headings, but these explanations finally lifted the fog and cleared up misconcenptions for me. http://sagetechcorp.com/clarity-ads-b... ====Ralph.

Walter, I own an iFly700 with v 7.0.17 and am planning on buying a Stratus if there will be some way to make the two talk to each other. I see the Stratus has a USB for power but no mention of its use for data. Is there a way to connect a USB to wifi adapter to the iFly to provide wifi that will work with the Stratus?
