Any word yet from Stratus? Weather on my 720 would be the icing on the cake.

It appears that seeing traffic on an ADSB device is going to be some time down the road before you start relying on it.

I have purchased a Zaon XRX system several years back and it reports traffic great. The system already has the capabilities to transfer the data wirelessly using a wireless adapter (Zaon already working on several 3rd party apps ,,, wing X on IPAD just to name one).

I would love to see the Zaon be able to work with the IFY.

I was getting weather on my iFly through a Stratus receiver here in the office - it required some minor coding hacks, so production version of the iFly doesn't support this yet. But we should be supporting Stratus fairly soon.

Walter,

Keep working on it I am thinking the no muss and fuss of the wireless Status alongside a Zaon MRX would work to maintain a clutter free cockpit. At least untill the FAA decided to broadcast all traffic all the time which might make the skyradar the better value. Only time will tell.

Walter: Some facts to consider: ADS-B TIS-B as presently implemented by the FAA is not working for small GA aircraft for all practical purposes. When it will work is anybody's guess. A lot of GA pilots want traffic alerting (evidenced by the number of PCAS/TCAS units in service) and we would like it displayed on our GPS's. Given there are HUGE numbers of Zaon devices in service already, if the iFly could display the Zaon data output, you create an additional market for yourself of existing Zaon owners and stand a chance of selling a lot more iFlys. Of course, those of us who already own the world's finest portable aviation GPS (iFly) would also benefit from being able to add a reasonably priced PCAS system that really works to our iFly displays. What I am saying is that Zaon is out there in large numbers already, it makes business sense to tap into it. Just my thoughts . . . and wishes. ===Ralph
