Jim, I'm not sure - but I think the Stratus can only be used via WiFi. If you find it does have a serial output it's possible we'll be able to use it with the 700...but, just not sure.

Walter,

I bought a SkyRadar L and have it connected to my 700 via a USB cable. So far I haven’t seen any weather displayed, probably due to the weather not being within 250 miles.

SkyRadar says that the weather range can be toggled between local and national. Is there any way to get the 700 to do that?

Also is there any way to overlay the weather from the SkyRadar on the IFR charts or the sectionals?

I have been flying with my 700 for 8 months now and I like it very much. A wifi retrofit would be nice though; maybe in the future?
