If you are making your own it might just be easiest to do something in Microsoft Word and then saving it as a PDF. If you don't already have the full Acrobat to make PDFs you can google Cute PDF. it works great. The big advantage of making your own is that you can put whatever you want on it including a mix from the standard VFR and IFR kneeboards, checklists, etc. and not have the stuff you don't need.

Someone suggested using separate apps for this and my other request for a scratchpad instead of integrating into Ifly. The problem with separate apps is that I have found Ifly to sometimes stop and have to be restarted if I switch to other apps for a while and then try to switch back to Ifly. Obviously that is not a good thing if you are flying IFR, have an approach plate loaded, and are just trying to write something on the scratchpad app or look at a checklist and when you switch back to Ifly and it is restarts.

I've added this to our WishList. There are lots of samples out there for VFR and IFR. Thanks for the feedback on this one. Should be fairly straight forward to implement.

Thanks Shane. My original idea was just the standard kneeboard placards, but hearing from others and thinking more about it I now think it would be more usefull if there was just a tab to open PDF documents on the app as there seems to be on the hardware device. That way you could have a simple VFR and/or IFR kneeboard type document preloaded in the software or we could make our own ducuments with just what we wanted, checklists, etc.

Yep, that PDF option for the App is already on there too. It's a bit more tricky with iOS than Android, but there are some extensions that should be able to be used to access storage like Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, etc. Also, there is the possibility of a folder in app that would support this.

Better yet, it would be better to add them to your online account and then after an update, have them accessible via the app and even categorized. Stay tuned.

If you are creating something from scratch in Word, etc. is there a document size (in pixels or whatever) that you could set to display perfectly on a 700/720/740?
