Since I have been flying with the Ifly instead of a kneeboard I have been missing the good information that is printed on my kneeboard such as VFR minimums, light gun signals, etc. like this: http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/vfr-kneeboard-placard-7-3-8-in-x-7-1-2-in.html?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=bags&adpos=1o1&creative=74939067142&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CNnM7-C68MkCFQHkwgodO0wI-Q

It would be great to add a few pages to get this info. I realize I can put this stuff in the tablet somewhere, but I don't want to have to open a separate app and switch back and forth. when I am flying Ifly and nothing else is open.

Hi Brian - "I realize I can put this stuff in the tablet somewhere, but I don't want to have to open a separate app and switch back and forth. when I am flying Ifly and nothing else is open." Thus my request for a small spreadsheet app. Anyway, I tried coping the picture in your link to use that for my clipboard notes, but the resolution isn't good enough. However, if I am not mistaken, I think the iFly GPS will open a PDF file. I'm going to try to type this information up in a Word document and then save it as a PDF file. If I can make this to work, I'll let you know. - Jim Williams

The iFly devices used to have an option where if you dropped .pdf's in a certain folder on the device, they were viewable with a button click or two. I had my checklists there but I haven't seen that option in several versions.

Hi Jeff - Yea. I think you are right. I couldn't find the pdf reader on my 700. It does have a txt reader now but you can't do much formatting with just text. Oh well, I still have my check list in my tablet. - Jim Williams

Well it turns out you can still do it on an iFly device. First you have to create a directory on the SD card called /PDF, and then drop your PDF's in it. Now boot up the iFly device (740 in my case), and the Menu button now has a new option called "View PDF file(s)". I just tried it and it works. I'll see if I can get the Android to do it...
