brand new user here so I am still comparing to Foreflight, one of the features I liked in FF was the ability display not only the current flight conditions of each airport but also wind speed, clouds, temp etc.

I am a VFR pilot and use this to see the trends in weather, I can see where good or bad conditions start or where a front is changing weather.

I have read the wish list back to February of this year and understand that weather improvements are coming.

Hi Peter, welcome to the family! Correct, we have a suite of new weather features coming around the corner - but winds, clouds, and temp are already available in the METAR and TAF reports for an airport. Tap an airport and select the WX tab to see the metar. To see it bigger, and the raw text, and to see conditions at nearby airports, touch the "More Info" button.

Thanks!
Walter

Thank you Walter! I understand your suggestion but the result is not the same. This morning I see VFR and MFVR colors on airport with in 100 miles of me. I need to tap individual airports to see what is causing the color change. I like the nearby airports function in Ifly but look at the screen shot and you know what I mean.

thank you

Peter

Ah, you wish to see ceiling right on the map (or winds, etc). Understand now. I think our upcoming WX improvements should address your request.

Thanks!
Walter

Question for Walter...many of the feature request are simply things available in other apps. If IFly GPS, WingX, and ForeFlight simply add popular features from other apps, the end result will be 3 identical apps. How do you provide users with the required information without simply adding features from other apps? I would assume each provider has a long term goal of where they want to go with their product and an overall vision that will distinguish their app from the others.

As a user, I like IFly GPS because it seems so intiutive and easy to use. Some of the other apps might provide more information, but some of them seem much more complex and less user friendly.
