GPS Time  Modified By pielit on 8/4/2017 9:34:28 PM

Has AP changed a GPS time setting?

I ask because I take pictures then use a program to insert GPS location and time into the metadata of the picture.

I think the problem started with Version 10 of iFly. I use to take the log files from the ‘User’ ‘Logs’, now I have to use the log files from ‘User’ ‘#FlightTrails’ .

In the past I would use UTC time so that the conversion would sync with the pictures time. It seems with 10.1.23 the time is now synced with Canada Atlantic time. Most of the time I use another GPS tracking program on my iPhone to insert GPS data which has always used local time. Arizona time.

I checked with my 740 settings and I’m still using Arizona time with DST disabled.

My 740 does not change time zones as I do; I thought the airplane position or the PingBuddy would take care of it?

You should be able to go to the 'Setting' option in the start up screen and go to 'Options' and select the current time zone from the 'List'.

That doesn't answer my question though. Does iFly gps postion and time use UTC or some other time?

The GPS relays the UTC time and you adjust based on your time zone.
