Problem. you are in an FBO someplace in a trip, you want to update with Ifly Connect,
As of now, there is NO WAY to do this, without installing IFly Connect into the FBO pc, the ONLY place I can do it, is from my PC AT HOME, Could it be possible to Put IFly Connect on your IFly 700/720 SD Card and access IFly Connect from anywhere that way, In a word, make it "Portable"
Or Better Yet put Ifly on a Windows 8 platform

You can easily update your 720 without iFly Connect when visiting an FBO with WiFi. Just use the Update Utility built into the 720 ("Check for Updates"). Typically you are just going to update weather anyway and that takes less than one minute. If your iFly doesn't have WiFi, then just use a flash drive on the FBO's computer in the pilot's lounge to pull down current weather from the Adventure Pilot web site. ===Ralph

Ralph, My 720 has never been WIFI friendly. I can't even get it to work with my I-Phone as a hot spot. When the Connect came out I quit trying.

Tim: Interestingly, I used to get much better success (100%) using WiFi at the KRID FBO, but not at home. Now that I have the Skyguard TWX transceiver I leave my WiFi set up for the TWX exclusively and I pick up the weather aloft via my ADS-B. ===Ralph
