I thought I saw this discussed before, but Search did not find it, so:

(Latest update on 720) After takeoff, the screen shifts from Airport Diagram to a chart, but it goes to (I think) the Vector mode, not back to the Sectional mode used previously. When I manually change to Sectional mode, it comes up at an extreme zoom, so I have to manually zoom out; this is not the right time in flight to do this...

I upgraded from the 700 to the 720 at Sun 'n Fun and have to say this is a much-improved screen. Overall another great product from a great company.

I have reported that I have found that sometimes it works the way you would expect and takes you back to the map mode previously selected, but sometimes it does not. I am not sure just what causes this, but it seems to depend on how you got into RealView to begin with - I find it works OK if I start out in Sectional or TAC map mode and use AutoTaxi. It always gives me the correct map when my speed exceeds 35 kts and visa-versa. However I, too, have noticed that it has reverted to Vector mode at other times, but I cannot figure out what the pattern is: whether I got to the photo by tapping the runway diagram on the airport info page, or via an airport context menu, or if it only happens when a specific sequence is performed. It really is a great feature. ==== Ralph.

This is how to recreate the problem: View a plate or airport diagram, click the "Back" button to return to the map. Then view a Real View image, click the "Back" button to return to the map. Now the plate or diagram you had accessed prior to the RealView image will not display.

This is fixed in code, should have this through testing in a few days.
