I have not been able to find an answer to this in the manual, so here goes.

I have customized my instruments and named the "panel".

Should I expect my custom panel to be loaded each start up if it was loaded when iFly was shut down? Or does it load a default set of instruments and I have to change it each time.

It should default to the last instrument panel you had during shutdown.

Thanks for the answer. Mine has learned how to "stick" to my panel setting yet.

George: If your unit is not defaulting to the last instrument panel setup that was active at shutdown, I suggest you document the conditions (portable or landscape orientation, software version, map mode selected, Instruments selected, etc.) and report all this to AP customer service. They really want to know about these anomalies so they can identify bugs and fix them. They are outstanding in responding to these matters. By the way, I presume you know that if almost any instrument is tapped (except analog gauges or the GPS fix accuracy), the instrument display will cycle to the next display available. Could it be possible that after you boot into the Navigation app, perhaps a thumb or fingertip near the edge of the screen has grazed upon an instrument which then causes it to cycle to the next set of instruments in the rotation? Just a thought. ==== Ralph.

I've noticed this and find it irritating and I can't figure out what purpose it serves. Is there a way to turn this "feature" off? Or, is there a quick way to get back to the previous display without either cycling through all the displays or going back through the menus? I'm at a loss trying to figure out why anyone would want to change the display after they've customized it to fit their desires.
