Yes, this will be much improved with v9.

Thanks Walter, I have not encountered a single clock error since installing the first beta version of 9.

Shane:

Did those logs cast a light on the issue?

Hi Robert,

I have not been able to duplicate this exactly in the office. Brian is looking deeper into those logs. I was able to determine that the Time Zone was not retaining sometimes, mine would revert to Pacific from Eastern. This is using the latest Firmware on our demo unit. We are going to test on a few other units. Accourding to my recorded, you have an FL12 device and the latest OS is 1.0.1.16.

Also, I'll let you know if Brian finds something on this in the software, but I suspect it is in the device firmware. Can you touch Setup at bootup, and then check the OS in the Tools options, the icon that has a wrench and a screw driver? Then give our support team or myself a call so we can make sure you have the latest Firmware for your device.

Can you confirm if the Clock at bootup and the Time instrument in the iFly Software are reporting the same time? It matches for me.

OS: 1.0.1.16

Boot Loader: 1.0.0.4

Launcher: 1.0.1.1

iFly v. 9.0.28

Device ID: FL12020499

No GPS reception at the office, but I'll try checking boot v. clock on the way home.

Ok, thanks. Try this. Touch Setup from the Main Boot Screen. Then touch the Tools (Wrench & Screwdriver). Select Reset, and then touch the Factory Reset. Use a toothpick or fine point when asked to calibrate.

This seemed to resolve the time zone not being retained on a test unit here in the office. We suspect a possible corruption of a setup file and this clears it. Make sure you get a GPS lock and do this, then report back, please.

Please email us at support@adventurepilot.com, as we'd like to move this into our support system. We'd like to drive complex support here, it offers us better tracking and organization. Thanks.
