Thanks Shane, yes I do boot directly to the Nav mode, and I will change that before my next flight. That's a good quick check on the time and date after it gets the sats too.

Shane:

I do NOT go to navigation directly. Just in case you were asking...

Re: Clock  Modified By Shane on 7/3/2014 7:20:51 PM

Robert,

That is good to know. This tells me that the logic added to "time stamp" the last known time is not working correctly. This is being changed in the next release, so this should act correctly in the very near future.

It will still need a GPS lock to derive the time, however. I hope this helps.

Re: Clock  Modified By David on 7/13/2014 2:46:27 PM

I have changed my '720 to boot to the system screen as suggested. Again this morning the time is correct, but date is off by one week (on the system screen.) I went into the nav program to confirm, and yes METAR's, NexRad, ect are all wrong. I had excellent GPS reception with WAAS. The date shown is also the last time I flew. I then rebooted to the system screen and this time the date and time are correct. Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

I booted up my '720 to the system screen this morning and it came up with a date of 8/20/2048, but with correct time of day. I waited until I had GPS lock, with no change in the date. I had to reboot the iFly to get the correct date. My unit requires now two boots almost every time I use it which is not acceptable. What would the cost be to properly repair / replace this unit? It is about 17 months old.

I have never seen this behavior in my old '700 or until recently in my '720.

Thanks,

David
