Additionally, you might try rebooting or power cycling your Router, many of these cache and fill up. A reboot will typically flush that cache and speed things up.
As for certain items not updating with Connect. If you want all items to update, make sure to touch or click the "Select All / Deselect All" option to make sure all items in the list are checked.
