I appreciate your looking into this . My aircraft is remote based ,my ifly is mounted to the panel. The most convenient method of updating my unit is using the thumbdrive . I tested my speed and its very fast . Even placing my laptop within 12 inches of the wireless router It is being difficult . I have been using the thumbdrive technique since I owned the original 700 and always had great results up until the last few weeks .
The update page indicates your having issues with the downloading of updates and thats what I am seeing . Hoping that this condition gets sorted out .

Speed test on my wireless is 3.51 megabytes per second .

Just gave it another try this time not downloading the 7.7 update and photos and it went alot quicker .

I did not have any issues doing the last update via iFly Connect. Great download speeds.

Like Rich, I've had no trouble doing updates with the Windows iFly Connect utility.

Used to have chronic trouble with the WiFi update IF the 720 had beeen used on more than just one single WiFi hotspot. Had to remove all but one for WiFi updates to work reliably. Adventure pilot was aware of that issue of more than one WiFi hotspot on file in the iFly sometime glitching the download. May have fixed it?

Don't know where or when you do your updates, but if you have a Windows computer there consider using the iFly Connect if you're not already doing so.

To make it easier for me to do update with iFly Connect I cloned my iFly SDcard so I always have one at home, one in the plane.
I update the one at home and take it out to the airport, slip it in the 720 and take the other one home after the flight.
I suppose I could install iFly Connect into the pilot lounge Windows computer and do it right at the FBO.

You can't just COPY the iFly SDcard on the 720. Have to clone it.
Lots of Windows cloning software out there. Some free, some cheap. I think the one I used might've been called "homeclone" or something like that.
If anyone wants to know exact source of the cloning software email request of post here and I'll try to dig it up.

Not true, my friend. A copy can be made simply by copying the contents of the original SD card onto your computer, folder by folder, then copy them from the computer onto the new SD card. Works like a champ. And you can even add mp3 music files and text file checklists if you are copying to a 16GB card and have the room. Just remember Streets won't work on the duplicate card but everything else will. ====Ralph
