Greetings Adventure Pilots,

The 7.7.5 Software Update is now available for immediate download. This new software update adds the below new features and contains various performance and bug fixes. It is preferred that you use the iFly 720 Wi-Fi or iFly Connect Update method and allow the Software and any Databases to update.
  • Added support for NavWorx ADS-B (including Wi-Fi) Models ADS600B and ADS600BG
    • You'll need to set the IP to the static IP that comes with the NavWorx wi-fi module. Then within the iFly GPS App on the 720, touch Menu -> About -> Connected Devices, and make sure NavWorx is selected in the Wi-Fi Devices.
  • We've added a new Altitude AGL instrument. Now there is Altitude MSL and Altitude AGL.
    • Add this Instrument by going to Menu -> Setup -> Customize Instruments and using the "Add" function.
  • Traffic Altitude shown next to traffic icons with Climb / Descent indicator.
    • When connected to an ADS-B Receiver or Transceiver, now you will see an Altitude Tag next to all traffic. In addition, you will notice a arrow at the to or bottom of that Altitude Tag, this indicates if they are climbing or descending.
  • Vector / Weather Map Improvements
    • Active ADS-B Ground Station icons now visible on Weather Mode (see those ADS-B tower locations)
    • Improved water contrast in Vector / Weather Mode (both Day and Night Modes)
    • High Resolution Water Features for 720/520, North America (adds more small lakes and better coastlines)
  • Support for SkyGuardTWX Vision-Pro via serial connection model(720 or 700)
  • also includes multiple fixes to improve user experience and overall app performance and stability.

Pilots with existing iFly GPS subscriptions can easily upgrade to Version 7.7.5 for free by updating using iFly Connect. If you do not have a current subscription, you can renew your subscription on our Web Store. Login and CLICK HERE to purchase a VFR or IFR Subscription.

Happy Flying and enjoy these new features and improvements.

Installed the Navworx ADS600B (newly updated at Navworx) and their WiFi module today to the 720 with 7.7.5. Added the wifi's static ip address and selected Navworx as a connected device, and I'm happy to report it works! Didn't get a chance today to really explore it, but they do communicate!

Shane,
I used WIFI to install 7.7.5 as an upgrade to 7.7.3 on my 720 today. It now sees NO satellites, thus I get no GPS position. I then loaded upgrade file on a flash drive and reinstalled upgrade.

I still can't see any satellites.

What next???

Shane,
I also did a "Reset GPS" within the GPS Overview, that didn't help either.

In mild panic mode, I Reset GPS again and left it alone for 3 hrs. All seems OK now.

It looks like this is a pure conicidence that there was a new GPS Almanac pushed out in the Sat system. I've recommend, putting the GPS outside or is a very open view to the sky. Then use this below sequence:

Menu -> About -> GPS Information -> GPS Diagnostics -> Factory Reset... Then let is set there for a minimum of 30 minutes, longer is better if possible.

This will force the unit to download a fresh GPS Almanac and you should see a solid GPS lock there after. I hope this helps.
