I'm sure there are only a few of us that have a problem with our 720's display being too bright (especially in light of the fact that most of us that owned 700's wanted brighter displays) but even on the lowest setting my display can be too bright at night. I've heard mention of the "CE" settings, can I use them to dim the display further and if so, how do I access them?

Dave,

By chance, are you using the Night Mode. If not, try Mode -> Day/Night Mode -> Night Mode. This takes it pretty dark, about twice as dark as just dimming the hardware. Additionally, it inverts the colors on Info, Flight Plan Page and Plates, etc to be much easier on the eyes.

I'm not aware of a way to dim beyond the screen hardware drive will allow. That is why we darken it further digitally. Hope this helps.

Hi Shane,
Yes, I use the night mode so there is no other option, is that correct?
Thanks, Dave M.

Correct. I'll pass this along to Walter and the team and maybe he will darken the Night Mode just a tad more. Do you fly using Low Enroute Charts, those would be the only issue as they are white based and can only get so dark. It would be interesting to see if they could invert those as well, may not be an option as they are a different file type. I'll ask.

Hi Shane,
I usually fly with the GPS in sectional mode.
Sorry for the delay answering, I got caught up in the holiday and it just slipped my mind.
