I have never paid much attention to the update speed on my 720, but on the iPad is seems abysmally slow, especially compared to ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot. Are there plans to increase your bandwidth since I suspect that with the new iPad app you will hear this as a common complaint. I have an 85MB pipe but I am getting as little as 2KB per second at times. It will occasionally burst up to180K/sec but generally it hovers in the 24K/sec range. That means downloading a 500MB package could take over an hour. To test my connection I just downloaded a 300MB file from another vendor and it took under 3 minutes.

Mine is awfully slow too. Right now it's only 120-130 KBps and that is off the Junxion Box in my pickup. My laptop works fine from the wireless modem in the house and the iFly is only 15 ft from it and it keeps getting the failed download message and retries. Usually take an hour and a half to update 6 sectionals and 2 TAC charts.

Using iFly Connect, I can hit 1500+KBps, that is 12mbps. I have not seen those speeds via the wifi to the iFly itself. I think I see about 1/3 the Connect speed.
