It appears I finally "beat" the update server into submission. Although my iFly is now updated, I had to spend way too much time attempting to get it to happen. I know that I am not the only person suffering this frustration. These days this should be easy and not requiring so much effort in my opinion.

I agree, it should be easy, and for most users it is. Have you tried calling AP and talking to Ed or another member of the support staff? They might be able to diagnose your issue and get your updates smoothed out so they happen with ease like they're supposed to.

Ralph,

It pops out but I have a hard time getting a good grip on it. Big thumbs and fingers I guess.

Yep, it pops out a bit but not enough to get a good grip on it. I have needed to use my Leatherman needle nose pliers or any handy tool to drag it out enough to grip it with my fingers. Wish list - a slightly stronger eject spring.....

I could have, but it was a weekend and I felt I needed the update prior to departing. They weren't available and shouldn't need to be for this operation.

I push the SD card in with my fingernail, then while the spring is tensioned I simply slide my fingernail off - the SD pops out like a cartoon toaster. Aim first so you don't lose the card.
