I've got the USB to D-connector cable. I bought it with the intention of connecting the iFly to my TruTrak AP. I'd also like to install an APRS unit and it requires a GPS signal. Can I split the signal from the iFly and have it serve the AP and the APRS? If so, would it be as simple as jumpering two pins on the female side of the 9 pin d-connector (one of which will connect to #5 on the male side) and then running one to the ADSB and one to the AP? Thanks.

Don

Don,

For that to work the devices would need the same data and the same baud. And even then, I'm not sure if the dilution of power resulting in splitting the signal would cause a problem. But, it cannot hurt to try. Another option would be to use a USB hub and two serial cables; we've had some users do this with success (but we learned the hard way this doesn't work well if you're trying to use one for ADSB in and another for NMEA out...best to stick with the same type of cable for both nmea outputs)
