Brian:

This is good news and what I wpuld expect from IFLY engineering. My unit works with all other GPS required apps. I was not looking forward to buying another tablet just to use with IFLY.

I will be looking forward to installing the 9.8 patch.

However, I am still puzzeled as to why it was possible for me to use my LG G Pad with IFLY for several months including a flight from SoCal to OSH and back last summmer?

Brian, I tried sending you an email but it says your inbox is full.

I'm still dead in the water with my LG Aristo - No GPS Position Lock. I'm hoping not to have to buy another device solely for iFLY but it's getting close to that for me. Any luck with this one?

Chuck:

I have the LG G Pad and am glad that I won't have to buy a different tablet since IFLY will fix this in the next patch coming out in a couple weeks.

Lucky for us all the LG smart phone that I just got for myself personally has this same issue! So now I'll be able to fix the issue first hand and validate it. It's much easier to fix things that I can reproduce here at my desk. We'll get this fixed in Beta by next week, and for the v10 production release planned for first half of April.

FYI, --- just wondering if this same issue applies to an LG- V495 8.0 tablet? The symptoms are identical to the Aristo folks seem to be having. It is running on version 9.8.7 Shows device ID as LG-4951586a2e7

I did note in the specs on the tablet it accesses GPS via A-GPS and GLONASS if that has anything to do with anything. Terms I was unfamiliar with until I looked them up. Interesting on GLONASS

As a sub-note - the Stratux will not connect either. Does fine on the 720 (most of the time)
