Thanks for expediting this patch.

My LG G Pad 8.3" now knows where it is.

Oddly enough, I've been using a stock Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 (official name: VK810 4G) with iFly for over two years now without the first GPS issue such as this.

I believe this was caused by a recent LG firmware bug, which didn't show up until recently. Older LG devices don't have this issue. They'll probably fix the bug soon, and my patch/workaround will no longer be needed.

That explaines why my LG G Pad with verizon use to work, but recently failed and now is OK with the patch.

Walter:

Just started looking at the issues with LG units.

I have the LG GPad and have no problems with GPS lock, but I have had the following:

1) Since the Synth Vis upgrade, IFLY has just shut down with the message, "Unfortunately IFY has shut down." I did send a bug report for April 14th.

2) Sometimes when I touch on an airport symbol the information box does not appear. All other touch functions seem to work OK. Originally I thought this was caused by the way I had it mounted in my kneeboard clamp, but that was not the issue.

In all the above cases I have to switch from tablet to my Samsung smartphone where there are no issues.

I am currently shopping for a new Samsung tablet hoping there are no issues with it.

These issues are intermittent

Brian suggested changing the SD card because it might be corrupted. I put in a new Samsung 32 Gig card. Will check it out.
