The below might help in getting an external GPS to work with Duos:

Also, I'm pretty sure all that needs be done to enable the network connection to external boxes is to enable port forwarding. AP -- what name, protocol and port number do you use?

I got the GPS working for street navigation by downloading some software, but it doesn't work when I switch to Android. I'll look at the post above this one and see if I can figure it out. Also, when downloading apps from Play Store, it says downloaded, but where do they go? They don't show up on the AMIDuOS apps menu.

I would guess that the Google Play download goes to your 'downloads' folder. Just navigate to the folder, highlight the file, right click and select 'Add to Duos'.

On the ports, we just need AP to let us know the protocol and port numbers for the various external devices then use an AmiDuos utility to forward the data from windows to duos.

I'm about ready to give up. I got it working great on Windows side, but not at all on AMIDuOS side. I've followed all the instructions as best I can. Sometimes they will say do this or that, but when you do the first thing, the second thing is not an option. I'm using Windows 10 and maybe instructions are for Windows 8, IDK.

I also can't download apps from Play Store to AMIDuOS. It says they are installed, but they are nowhere to be found. Is there something that works better than AMIDuOS and will give an ID to iFly?

I can now download apps from Play Store. I found the download that installs Play Store and was able to download a couple apps. One app I downloaded is a GPS test app and it does not see my GPS. So, something is still not configured correctly.
