Tye,

I'm sorry to hear this. The general concensus is the new Dock bar is well received and most feel it is even more intuituve. The basic functions have not really changed, we've added a few features. Most of the Dock button are the same as what was on screen before, only we made a few shortcuts like Settings, this saves you feom hitting Menu, then Setup.

Just as will an iPad going from iOS 6 to iOS7, it is optional. And while the initial change takes a sec to get used to, the end result is a much faster and more powerful interface. Give it some time on the iPad, I think you'll come to like it. It will be a little while before it all make it to the 720. HAve a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Ah, still a rookie iOS7 user and forgot about the swipe up. Wouldn't waste time on the request then... BTW, chose to fly with your app over ForeFlight while flying for work. Like what y'all have done.

Merry Christmas!

Question on screen rotation on the map page. It appears you can switch from North Up and Track up, but these are both in portrait mode only. Screen cannot be rotated to landscape. Screen can be rotated a full 360 degrees in 90 degree steps with nearly all other views other than map.

Maybe I am missing something....

Also a question on instrument layouts. In the instrumnet Group can an option for NONE be added? Gaining some extra space would be helpful when using the iPad mini while viewing the approach plate.

**** OK, I found the fix for this. Delete the instruments and save as a new custom setting. I called mine "NONE".****

Suggestion......it would be real nice to have the VOR frequencies and ID's displayed on the Flight Plan page.c

I have been playing with this apps during the holidays. I have not flown with it yet. But, I have made two 3 hour trips in the car and I am happy with what I see. I am running on a new iPad mini with 64g, WiFi+Cellular, no external GPS. I also have one of Apple’s “smart covers”. When you close it, the iPad goes to sleep. When you open it, the iPad wakes up. You notice a definite reduction in temperature when the unit goes to sleep. Re-acquiring position only takes a second.

Weather down loads have been via Wi-Fi and paring with my iPhone. I see the weather page with TAF, METAR, WIND and PIREP. How are AIRMETS, SIGMETS and NOTAMS viewed? I also do not see a link for a DUAT or a way to file a flight plan. Not a big deal, just an observation. The weather you do see seems to be for the entire USA, even though I only have the North East states loaded for maps and charts.

After several days of taping and exploring, I did find one bug. I was looking at the plates for a local airport. Only 7 of the 8 approaches would display. I tried removing and reloading the state data, No Joy. I cleared the history page and then everything was OK. Not sure there is a connection, just FYI.

Again, I am happy with what I see.
