I loaded the iPad App and gave it a "test drive" ----- I have the iPad 2 and use it in the airplane along with the iFly, which is connected to my autopilot. Anyway, the speed and ease of use with the new iFly app is a winner. Will make me think twice before I renew my WingX and Foreflight subscriptions.

That is great to hear. We think it is going to be a huge success, especially since you can run an iFly, iPad, and soon to come, an Android... all on the same subscription for only $19.99 more for the universal subscription option.

Additionally, keep in mind that this new interface you see on the iPad will be coming to the iFly 720 as well. Save some money and put that extra subscription money into your tank for an extra $100 hamburger run. Happy flying.

I've been running iPad app for awhile now and it is very good....but I'm a huge fan of the 720....the iPad style interface on the 720 will be perfect. At $20, the iPad add on is a no brainer but please keep the hardware development coming. 740 perhaps? Sign me up for both!

Oh boy! I'm glad to hear that the iFly app will soon be ready for the Android tablets. I hope that the app will run on both a GPS equipped tablet as well as one that does not have a built in GPS. I have one of each and use both of them for flight planning and flying. - Jim Williams

Shane,

Great to see this app come to the market. One quick question: If I already have a 700 and want to get the app, do I only need to pay an additional $19.99 to add the app or do I pay the $60 (not sure if that's correct amount) fee as well? I have a 700 and getting the app for $19.99 would be great for me.

Sam
