I sometimes use the two-point function. However, that requires two fingers and some precision, and it also requires the two endpoints to be visible on the screen together, which might require some zoom adjustments. In other words, it can sometimes require a bunch of taps.
On the other hand, one finger, quick drag, see what you want to see, let go, done. (Or maybe tap the re-center button if you don't want to wait for the auto-recenter function to kick in. Still just one finger, though.)
It's nice that iFly has different ways to do things so that different users with different preferences can be happy.
