Since the thread changed to a discussion about auto-entering your Departure Airport, and since we just learned that iFly kinda sorta does this already - could iFly offer a button one the FP page that will auto-enter the Departure airport, as it does if you create a FP from the map page? The reason is that I always go to the Flight Plan page to plan flights instead of planing flights from the map page. (Makes sense, right?) But there's no auto-Departure feature on the FP page. So I am forever entering my home airport when I create a flight plan.
Note that I am asking for a button to push, so that nothing is automatic (for those who don't like automatic).
If iFly did this, it might need to offer an option for the button to tell iFly to define your "home" airport if close by. Reason being, I'm often at home, 15 miles away from my home airport when I plan a flight. In my case, not a problem, because GPS isn't available and iFly shows me landed at my home airport. But for others who have GPS running all the time, iFly might not pick up on the fact that you're near your home airport.
