Hi Cobra:

Yep, the new Reverse Flight Plan button is a welcome addition. I had forgotten about "Clippy," and like you, I wouldn't want iFly going down that road. But I thought that if iFly were going to offer to reverse your flight plan, it needed to ask somewhere.

I was going to suggest then that the dialogue about "Do you want to reverse your flight plan" could be moved to the Flight Plan page, which would address your concerns. But moving that question to the FP page would be pointless, since the Reverse button is already there.

So never mind. (Such is brain storming.)

Walter, are you saying that iFly should be "auto-loading" (or "Auto-offering") the Departure Airport as the first entry in the Flight Plan page? If yes, it's never done that for me. (Android version.)

Yep, while on a field touch Menu / Fly Direct To, enter an airport code. Or, touch an airport on the map and select the Fly-direct-to option. The departure field will be assumed.

In general, I don't like automatic...because invariably it starts doing things I don't want and it's harder to get what I want than it would have been otherwise. I prefer AP take the approach to minimize button pushes while allowing us to control the device not vice-versa.

Ah, good news! I haven't tried that lately, so I'll need to give it a go and check it out. Thanks!

I have to agree with OldPilot. I don't like automatic programming either. Besides, I don't always land at an airport. I don't think it's a big deal typing in departure and destination points. I know these two locations for most of my flights. Also, I think that the reverse button on the FP page works just fine. - Jim Williams
