Not sure how it's working for him. Brian and I tested on Windows and Mac and it's a no go when it comes to assigning a Device ID for the subscription.

Please look at his account and see how he is doing it. Had someone posted this earlier, it might have influenced my decision to purchase the Surface Pro 4.

After my miserable experience updating my desktop machine to Windows 10, I will stay with my Android tablet!

I'm leaving my laptop on Windows 7. There are some things that would not work correctly if I upgrade to Windows 10 on this older laptop. My new Surface Pro 4 comes with Windows 10 installed. I will continue to use my IPad Mini 4 for flying with IFly GPS, but I would like to be able to run IFly on the Surface Pro for armchair flying and maybe as a second tablet in the airplane.

Ok, BlueStacks does not appear to assign a device iD number, so we can't see how it's working flawlessly there. The AMIDuOS™ does look to give a device ID to the account. That option may very well work, but is not recommended or supported by the iFly GPS team. At least until further notice. I'd proceed with caution and at your own risk.

When on these forums and other forums, I'd caution assuming that a patch, hack like BlueStacks or AMIDuOS™ or other user found scenario would be fully supported by iFly GPS on an unsupported platform or device.

I'd recommend shooting our support team an email in the future. Anytime you have a question, please feel free to email our support team at support@adventurepilot.com as that is the official support avenue.
