Nearest function

I would like to re-submit a request discussed by several of us on this forum last year:

Please give us the option to have a CONTINUOUS indication of heading and distance to a pre-selected number of airports. It currently takes little time to call up that function, but having it continually available would make it easier (& more likely) that pilots would have an on-going awareness of their changing options in case of an engine (OR other) failure.

This one is coming soon. We’ll be adding some very useful information to the NRST page. Like continuous relative Distance, Location Pointer, Rwy/Freq, CTAF and even Awos and more.

We are also working on a new database structure that will give those features and others a bit of a speed boost. Stay tuned as this is in the works now.

Is there any update on this functionality? I really need a continuous beaing and range to airports and navaids on the Nearest page like all my Garmins supply. I use the BRG & Range info when talking to ATC for clearences or flight following or FlightWatch for PIREPS. That "City" column is a waste of screen real estate :-)

The new NRST function is currently being developed for our next major release. That release should have Seamless and the new NRST feature among some other features. Stay tuned. I think you'll really like what we've put together.
