I'm a 720 newbie and just created my first USB update package (it's more convenient for me to leave the 720 mounted in the plane than remove it for wifi updates).

Although creating the update package is a fairly painless process, it would be nice if the lists of potential updates could be filtered by region - Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, etc. When selecting the regions to filter, having a handy pop-up map of the regions (just as there is a pop-up map of the lo-enroute charts) would be a handy reference.

Once the region/regions are selected, then the checklists of potential maps, plates, etc.could be presented just as they are now so individual maps and charts could be selected or not.

This would eliminate a lot of clutter in selecting updates and streamline the process even more.

John,

Nice feedback. I like your ideas. Yep, we added many new features and new data items like WAC, Airport Photos, and more maybe to come so we do have it on our development wishlist to revise or "clean up" the Update selection process. I hope this helps. Thanks again for the great feedback and recommendations.
