Anyone Help!!

Trying to get X-Plane 9.xx to work with my iFly 720......

I purchased the serial cable from iFly and a null modem cable and usb short cable from another vendor but no joy! The cable worked for about 5 minutes yesterday (took repeated reboots to get it to work) but I can not get it to function again today. It seems to forget it is installed but when looking at devices and printers in windows 7 it says working correctly and is identified as serial port 3.

On the i-Fly I see "external GPS manager" when checking serial port connections but it is not updating to current location or flight data per X-Plane.

Using serial port 3, refresh 3 times per second, plugged in and booted up X-Plane first then connected to iFly 720....

I am perplexed, has anyone experienced this issue?

Thanks Walter,

For the current settings I am using port 2 per windows. My null modedm adapter is a cable about 3' long could the cable length affect the signal? I have checked and it is a null modem cable. I needed the length to allow positioning of the i-Fly on the desk by my sim monitor and yoke.
