Is there any reason not to have all of the sectionals, TACs, and airport diagrams loaded and current? Does it slow down the response time of the sysytem or anything like that?

John, I have all of the lower 48 states sectionals, a couple of TAC's, and all of the airport diagrams loaded on my iFly 700 and it works just fine. It keeps me a little busy keeping them all up to date. I wish that the web site had an option that would allow updating everything for the lower 48 with just one click of the mouse button. - Jim

You can do that by removing your SD card and using an SD card reader and the program that is provided by AP.

It works very good. You have to use IE foryour browser.

I was just concerned that having all of that data would slow the processor down. I guess it doesn't.

The only issue I have found having the full lower 48 loaded is that when you haven't flown in a week or two and decide to perform a quick update you might be stuck at the computer for up to an hour pulling all that data onto your usb or sd card.

I have started performing all my updates on the pc using two SD cards. One is in the airplane with the ifly and the other is at home. When I head out to fly I update the one at home and insert it into the ifly before I start up. The one out of the ifly goes home with me and gets updated before my next flight.

Works like a charm.
