I updated the GPS for v 6.0.8 according to the instructions in a two step process. After the update was compete ( the GPS recognized the update file from my flash drive), I attempted an update for plates, sectionals, low enroute, etc using the same flash drive and the GPS would not recognize the flashdrive (error mesage occurs that says {"USB flash drive has not been detected. Make sure the drive is fully inserted.... or try using a different flash drive"). No matter how many ways I tried it. Flash drive in before startup, after startup and any othe combination I could think of. I still have no ability to load current plates, sectionals and terminal charts, low enroute charts. I am using the same flash drive as I have all year, even got a new one and tried it with the same result.

Only thing I haven't confirmed is the format of the flash drive. I tried the other possible solutions. I have been using the same flash drive for all updates during this past year including the one recent one that worked when updating to 6.0.8, with no change in the formatting of the drive. I will call support team later. Thanks for the quick reply.

Same problem here, with only 2 days left on my subscription. I wanted to get the new Seattle charts before the Subscription lapsed, and can't get the iFly to see the drive. Not a MAJOR problem at the moment, as the bird isn't ready yet, but I'd still like the current charts. Holding off for renewal till the bird is ready in the spring.

Checked format, and both Vista and WinME show Fat32. The drive worked fine prior to the update to v6. So something changed in the software???

How to reformat to Fat16???
