Hello,

I'm having the same problem, loaded update of the software just fine, and now it doesn't recognize the flash drive (Lexar 4 gb) with the additional update files. It does seem to indicate the issue might be witht he updated software load?? I'm using Dell laptop.

Thanks,

john kobbeman

This is not something we've been able to recreate in our shop, but enough folks have seen this that I'm sure something is going on. Everyone that has had this problem, please post the first 4 digits of your iFly serial number, so I can see if there is a pattern. A workaround Ed has found to work is to insert the USB drive before starting the iFly software, it should prompt you that an update package is found before the software ever runs. (Be sure the filename is "iFlyUpdatePackage.zip" exactly when doing this)

Thanks,

Walter

I've had the occasional problem too. Tho I've always gotten it to eventually take it. I use the flash drive you sell in your shop. And yes it appears to have started after 6.0.8 update.

serial: MB14

MB9C and MB0C, same issue on both. Sandisk Cruzer 8G and PNY Attache 8G drives.

After downloading and trying the updates, went back to the 'puter and opened the drives. The proper file was there, except the .zip extension wasn't showing. Added the .zip extension, and the updates worked.

Doc, so it seems the problem you experienced was not related to 6.08, just a mis named download.
