Does anyone else ever have a problem with this? I have a 700 and when using either the cigarette adapter in the plane, or one of two A/C adapters I have, a very little movement of the plug will reset the power on the unit. (if you have it plugged in at home or where ever, and just tap the 90 degree power plug and notice it resetting, then you may have this same issue)..

Even just rotating the yoke for a standard rate turn is enough to make the power reset on occation. Very irritating if your skirting Class-B airspace. I really don't want to swap it, other than that, it's a good unit...

My unit is out of warranty now... Does anyone know if a problem can exist with the connection on the board? Maybe cold solder joints or other?

I wonder if Ifly can repair if will they just send me another?

Just an update. Seeing the unit was out of warranty anyway, I was able to make the repair myself. No more disconnects on power... Plug is now "snug as a bug" as they say.. Caution, Repairs like this should be made by the factory if under warranty.. This repair requires proper static grounding, soldering equipment, and electronics finess....

Oh man, it works great again!

I'm really interested in knowing what you found. Was it a cracked or broken solder joint on the jack or what? Did just reheating/resoldering the joints fix it? I'm anticipating this happening to mine and it's out of warranty now also. That connection gets plugged into MANY times in normal usage at home and in the aircraft.

Hi Jim, I fixed a few possible problems while I was in there. Email me outside of this forum and I'll send you my procedure and what I did...

It happened to me a lot until I got new power cords. I have two different batteries and I think that one bad connection was where you plug in the cable to the my iFly 700 and another was where you plug the cable into the battery. However, I have been seeing reboot on the last flight when I had a cable from the cigarette lighter plug to the iFly. I thought that problem may have been related to the electrical system not generating enough volts but maybe not!

Good luck and please keep us informed. There do seem to be a few owners with the same type of problems. I have not flown that much lately with the iFly 700 to know if I have fixed anything.
