I still have this problem but I'm out of warranty. I was told it's $200 to fix it. When I was just flying VFR it didn't seem a big deal, just an annoyance. Once I got my IFR ticket and wanted to use it for situational awareness this became a big deal. Unfortunately I don't have the nerve to pull it apart and try to fix it myself.

Right not I have the cord super-velcroed in place and it has greatly reduced the shut-downs.

I am currently into the IFR ground school, then off to boring hood work... I know the IFLY will be a huge asset in the plane. At $200 to fix, it's almost worth waiting for another opportunity to get a trade up value to the 720. If I was to upgrade to the ADS-B in the plane, I'd almost be inclined to get the 720 just so I didn't need that extra cable.

It's not that hard to fix! I live in Massachusetts. Anyone close is welcome to contact me for help on this. The IFly is a great product. This is just one component that is succumbing to high interface use.
