I just flew with my unit this past Saturday to a local fly-in and I had a "no-lock" situation for a little while on the way home but it was only about five minutes. I don't know if the unit had not had time to set up properly or what but once it locked I didn't have any further problems.

One additional factoid. I experienced the weak/no signal phenomenon when I was wearing a new Sennheiser S-1 digital headset. A couple of hours later, when I noticed I was receiving GPS signals satisfactorily, I was wearing a new Bose A20 analog headset, and I have continued with the Bose headset ever since with no problems to the iFly 700. I returned the Sennheiser headset to the supplier (for other reasons) so I am unable to repeat the steps and see if the headset was the problem, but who knows...maybe that was the issue.

That is interesting... Thanks for the update!

Everyone should be aware that other eletronics in the airplane can interfere with portable GPS units.

I fly an airplane that I must keep the DME turned off so that I can use my portable units.
