I received my ifly and skyradar last week. The ifly recognized the skyrader no problem but on a test flight at 7000 ft from Parkersburg WV (PKB) to LNN just west of Cleveland OH i received no winds aloft, metar, taf or any nexrad information. Incorrect set-up? How do we determine if the skyradar is within range of a radio signal? I was using a USB cable with the 5 pin mini B connector that came with a GARMIN GPS.

I'm in eastern Ohio, about 40 miles west of Pittsburgh. Went up this morning with wx all around me and the Nexrad worked fine. Still not getting winds aloft or traffic.

I just updated the OS Flash drive from the IFly folks with the latest OS and then hooked up the SkyRadar to the IFly. As Shane said a few posts back, in a minute or so, the SkyRadar connected. I was on the ground in my garage so I didn't get any weather or traffic, but I will fly it tomorrow and give it a test. I am excited to try it out along with the two Insight G3 engine monitors I just installed in the 340.
