What are the chances that there will come a time that the iFly will require a more robust computer? Historically computers seem to become passe after about 6 months, old after a year, and down right ancient after two or three years. Is the hardware of the iFly that much more capable than the program requires that there is no danger of overloading it, or is it possible that with all the improvements the iFly software will eventually become more than the hardware can handle?

Similarly, is there an *endless* (for our purposes) supply of the iFly computer hardware, or will Adventure Pilot have to eventually adopt new hardware and, as a possible result, new software?

Mike,

I would suggest iFly should consider the iPad for the iFly 800.....

I can't debate whether or not the iPad would be a good choice. I've not used the iPad. However from what I've heard, Apple doesn't allow just anyone to make programs to use on their computers. AP would have had to submit the program to Apple and they would approve or disapprove the proposal. Similarly, if what I heard (and said above) is true, I would imagine Walter & Co. wouldn't be able to respond as quickly to our endless list of new features. Each new version (I would imagine) would, once again, have to pass the Apple muster.

Then again, all that I heard about Apple could be urban legend and making an Apple product the next platform for the iFly would be as easy as it was for the Windoze platform.

The market and the technology is rapidly evolving, I think it's best not to make committments or comments on plans that may change.

Thanks!
Walter
