Walter,

Have any thoughts on porting your application to an iPad?

The graphics are much sharper and a little larger screen and pre-flight check list could be implemented easier.

Plus many pilots have iPad.

Sounds like it could be a great opportunity.

Walter,

Any hints on a general time frame? I do not think I want to miss this announcement!

Sorry, no hints. I do not announce hardware or software upgrades until I'm sure we have a solid solution and a known timeframe. And hardware is tricky business; it's a lot of time consuming work to develop a new platform. We're still very happy with our current solution - it's still the best possible option for the price.

I have an iPad with WingX and Foreflight, both superb programs, but still went to the iFly700 for two reasons:
One, as a VFR pilot, the iFly does all I need whereas the FF/WingX are really overkill and MUCH more expensive.
Two, size. iPad is simply too big to mount anywhere in my Cherokee without blocking the yoke, large parts of the panel or views out the window.
I truely hope AP is not thinking of going software only towards the iPad; the iFly 7" screen is a perfect compromise in size.

My 2 cents

John
