Can you, please, clarify the USB cable requirement, so we know the exact type of cable needed, instead of "buy and try" method?
Is this a USB 1.0 or USB 2.0 interface we are talking here?
If we look at the pin out of the Series A Plug to Series Mini-B pug cable: we see that there are 4 wires: V bus/ground for power & D+/D- for differential serial communication signal.
Since both devices have their own internal power supplies, Vbus and Ground wires are not a concern here.
D+ and D- is a serial communication pair between two devices. So to David's comment, if PC identified the SkyRadar device and located correct drives to communicate to it, would this indicate that the cable communication part is ok too?
Otherwise, what kind of sorcery can we expect from SkyRadar bought and hand delivered USB cable?
