Bob, I'm presuming you're using your 720 via wifi to do this update. It might be your card causing a problem - but it could also be your wifi connection. There are some circumstances where your 720 will drop & reconnect, causing the file being downloaded to restart. And there are a couple of large files that could cause you to get in a retry loop. Check your WiFi connections, do you have more than one with <PRE>? If so, select those and hit "Disconnect", keeping only your active network. Then try again.

Jim, Our Static Databases were last updated 7/19/12. This data does not expire - it's stuff like lakes, roads state boundaries, terrain elevations, etc. What sort of trouble did you have downloading these?

Thanks,
Walter

Walter Thank you very much. You & your staff are very responsive. I've got a 720. Apparently I had too many wifi connections. I have the one at home for the heavy duty downloads and a cell based hot spot I use for getting the weather etc at the airport. The cell hot spot wasn't on, but when I disabled the selection, It worked. My chart expirations for the databases indicates that the Aviation Database expires every month. I've noticed it updating each month. The Geographic Database indicates that it has a 07-19-2012 date. Anyway, Thank You Very Much. Bob

Hi Walter - The aviation database (or it could had been the geographic database) kept loading to around 75% and then stop and then start uploading again starting at 0%. Just like you described above. It probably was my internet connection. It does funny things when it's snowing. - Jim Williams

Sorry I posted on the wrong forum

My current Aviation databases show an expiration date of 3/3/14.
Is there a new database available.
I forced a new database download and the system still reported
that I still had the 3/3/14 expiration database. ??
The download went to completion on both android and iPad systems
but it appears that the same database was downloaded.

Les
