Okay. I just had this happen to me today on my iFly 740. When the error message comes up the iFly stops seeing traffic and the display changes from ADSB to GPS WAAS.

When I check the iFly ADSB system it said "waiting". Here's the thing, it was showing ADSB on the ground and the system monitor was populated. About 10 minutes into the flight the error occurred and iFly stopped working again. I cleared the error message, no change. About 15 minutes later, iFly was again showing ADSB and was working normally. The error came up again and I was back to square one.

Regarding the firmware versions, this was a brand new unit that Uavionix sent me when my previous one stopped working. I was told by Uavionix that the firmware should be all up to date and all I had to do was configure the unit.

Now I don't know whether I should talk to Uavionix or iFly about the issue. Any suggestions? I've attached some images of the error message and the IP settings shown on the iFly network screen.

I've seen that error so often now that I hardly even notice it--except that often it blocks my view of something important. It's possible to dismiss the error dialog, but it's not easy. That little "X" button is so small that I usually end up poking at it 5 or 6 times, and because it's a WinCE error, the iFly remote control won't get it.

There may be a workaround if it's possible stop the 740 from connecting to the uAvionix Ping wifi router.  I haven't tried it only because I like to use the Traffic instrument on the 740 to alert me to traffic and the EFIS on the iPad to see traffic in 3D for better situational awareness.

I got tired of PA not having any way to fix this bug and instead telling me to download yet another update from the uAvionix website. I phoned uAvionix months ago and talked with a really crabby guy who claimed to have written an update but that he had been prevented from posting it there. I downloaded it from an unofficial URL he gave me, but it didn't stop the error messages on the 740.   As far as I know, there still is no update that addresses this bug.

I'm calling this a bug because it prevents the 740 from working properly. AP people seem to think it's a uAvionix problem, and uAvionix blame it on AP. And that bugs me.

I know what you mean about trying to hit that X just right to close the dialog.

The main problem that I have is that when the conflict error comes up the iFly 740 stops showing traffic, weather and anything else that the Echo provides. So the iFly just becomes a ordinary iFly.

I sent a note to a contact i have at Uavionix outlining the issue to see if they are aware of it or have a solution. According to the Uavionix support site the Echo WiFi firmware is 1_3_1. bin. This is different than what you wrote in your original post.

Question for any ADMIN; Are you aware of anyone at iFly still giving this any attention?

Thanks, GeorgeD. I'll see which version I have now.
