I see, you can get rid of a past flight trial that you load in, but you present on that you just flew, still stays on the map until you exit the ap. that was what I could not get to clear out.

AFAIK, no one has ever requested this capability before. The only way to hide it is to restart iFly, OR to do "Menu => Setup => Map Settings => UNCHECK Show Flight Trails."

Neither of those solutions are ideal. Unless many others request the ability to make this easier, it probably will never get fixed. I hope this isn't too inconvenient for you.
